2G Scam: "Waiting For The Worse," Says Kanimozhi


New Delhi: Kanimozhi, daughter of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, a Delhi court is due tomorrow, trying to scam the largest ever in India - a scam for the 2G spectrum. Kanimozhi is accused of conspiracy and accepting a bribe. CBI sources say they object to save it. This means that the young MP, DMK has been sent to prison.


"If this is what I want justice ... We must address all legal issues ... we can not escape as the leader of the opposition in Tamil Nadu is not," he told NDTV today, taking a shot of his political party, Bete Noire, Jayalalithaa. "We must respect the court ... we have to deal with it ... I can not keep away" Kanimozhi said. "We have to face the courts to decide what I do not want to speculate ... wait and see what happens tomorrow."


Kanimozhi, Rajya Sabha MP, has accused the CBI to accept a bribe of its 214-crore Partyman, Raja, who has already in Tihar jail. Raja was the Telecom Minister, when he had handed over the certificates and the 2G spectrum in 2008 for companies that do not meet the eligibility requirements. He was accused of fraud, forgery and criminal conspiracy.


So far, the CBI's response to each one guarantee is chargesheeted in 2G scam, including five leaders of major companies in the country - Swan Telecom, Reliance Telecom and Unitech Wireless.
