Apple Will Become A Supplier To Nokia The World's Top Smartphone

Smartphone sales continued success of Apple has led the Cupertino-based place in the world # 1. As noted in the Financial Times, Apple has sold 20.34 million iPhones last quarter, up from 18.7 million units in the first quarter of 2011. Meanwhile, shipments of smartphones from Nokia fell by 24.2 million units in the first quarter to only 16.7 million smartphones during the quarter June - 3.64 million Apple smartphones. With only two models of smart phones available for sale, Apple was already in the world smartphone vendor revenues and profits. The June quarter was the first time the company has made Nokia to sell in volume, however.
