Former Secretary Salman Bashir has accused the Indian society and the armed forces of trying to undermine the agenda of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to the statements that were "worrying".

Any country that seeks to "emulate" the "unilateral action" by the United States is that he made a "fundamental miscalculation," Bashir said in the first press conference as a senior Pakistani official on the assassination of the leader of Al Qaeda.

"We see a lot of swagger in our area. There have been statements that have met (the border), people with experience and the Army Air Force, where it can be repeated. We believe that such an accident or miscalculation would lead to a terrible disaster, "he said.

Bashir made the remarks following the statement by Army Chief General VK Singh that Indian forces have the ability to carry out raids, as the pre-dawn assault by U.S. special forces that led to Bin Laden's death.

Emphasizing military force in Pakistan, Bashir said that if a country had to act on the assumption that he is entitled to the unilateralism of any kind, will find themselves engaging in the accident. "There is no doubt that Pakistan has sufficient capacity to ensure its own defense," he said.
