BJP Asks Centre To Rethink Policy On Pakistan

NEW DELHI: In Pakistan are on the bench following the death of Osama bin Laden, the BJP has demanded that the UPA government led Congress should reconsider its policy in Pakistan.

The party is not satisfied with the recent decision to open the central Pakistani dialogue, especially if the recent initiative of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to call Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has Mohali.

The issue of terrorism was discussed at the meeting BJP central committee, chaired by party President Nitin Gadkari Wednesday.

Notice of meeting to read "Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Congress-led UPA government has insight that policy towards Pakistan. Talks and terror can not coexist."

Speaking to Express, BJP Secretary Ananth Kumar wanted UPA government to "put pressure on Pakistan to extradite Dawood Ibrahim and demonstrate political will in suspension Afzal Guru, the key accused in the Parliament attack."

After the meeting, Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley said in the joint statement of January 6, 2004, Pakistan had to take his land not used for terrorist activities against India.

It was the formulation of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, who has been accepted by Pakistan, and President Pervez Musharraf. But the BJP, he said, rejected the formulation of Manmohan Singh in Sharm el-Sheikh, who speaks must be separated from the terror. Recall that Manmohan Singh has described Pakistan as a victim of terrorism, the party said. "Pakistan is a sponsor and the use of terror and not his victim Pakistan has not been honest in its commitment that its territory will not be / is not used for terror. The world has recognized this reality. We urge the government of India to look at common sense. "

BJP insisted that the very fact that Osama has been housed in a hotel near the Pakistan Military Academy, said that Pakistan was the epicenter of global terrorism, which was housed the most wanted terrorist network worldwide.

India's legitimate concern that those who perpetrated the terrorist in India, are also housed comfortably in Pakistan is no longer in doubt.

Those who use the instrument of state policy on terrorism would always suffer because of their duplicity, the statement said.

Osama name as "against global terrorism", the party has described his removal as a high point in the global war against terrorism.
