Report: Mazda Rotary Is Still Developing

Although the RX-8 is managed by the guillotine production managers have apparently confirmed that Mazda engineers are working on a more efficient and powerful Wankel. While the project was technically back-burnered during the economic downturn, research has not been opened canned. This means that there is a possibility that Rotary could make a comeback. What will? It's a little less secure.

We know the MX-5 Miata is not a likely candidate, since Mazda is committed to keep the car true to its baseline. Not with a couple of vehicles turntable extended-range electric, however, that nature is perfect for high-speed generator. This could be away from the low-RX-8 is less reassuring to know that the engine design could have a future.
