RIM, on the other hand, managed to be seduced the U.S. government to gather sufficient approval for government use. BlackBerry playbook, the first tablet to receive FIPS 140-2 certification, which means that the tablet is fit enough to be used by federal government agencies. The company said: "This certification gives ... the U.S. federal government to buy with confidence, knowing that meet their requirements playbook IT policy to protect sensitive information. "The tablet has failed to conquer the consumer market, so it's good to know that this would be appreciated by the market target for businesses and government users.
