Enter WP7 Function Of "Mango" To Start Cutting: No In-App Buy

When Windows Mobile 7 was launched a year ago, had lost a range of functions, when it was announced. These features have been promised within a month ... and concluded within six months through the disastrous "minor update" and upgrade later node. I say disastrous, because it was rolled slowly, but masonry equipment, failed to install, was pulled and restarted several times, and just general update was worse than any modern mobile OS (WebOS, Ios, Android) in recent years . Of course, many properties do not update that was promised, and Windows Mobile 7.5 update, called "Mango".

Mango Key features also brings multi-tasking, Internet Explorer 9, Silverlight and HTML 5 But there are 500 properties will follow, according to Microsoft's press conference. Some of these are known here.

There were many comments on the first version of the update of mango, the general consensus seems to be so strong, but not convincing.

Now, thanks to WMPowerUser we hear news that in-app purchasing (IAP), which was a key motivator in excess iOS and Android ... will not cut mango, with no idea when this might actually be a part of Windows Mobile 7

Two things to note: It is never explicitly promised Mango, and many think it is the desired end user functionality.

The first, if not stated otherwise, many developers working on the assumption that the mango would IAP. As such it is useful to end users, I take a couple of examples:

- Developers use it as a "demo" without having a separate "Lite" and "full" version, you download the game for free, then play a song and you can purchase the full game or not. G5 watch the game like Jack of all tribes as an example.

- Add content: the classic marathon iPad game reached recently, and the basic game is free. If you want to package the best resolution is $ bit, and then you can buy some tricks / additional functionality for a little more.

- The typical line of fire / MMO things - buying gold in game items, map packs, etc..

Certainly the IAP is all about developers money, but look at reality - in the iTunes App Store model pushes prices down again, and since it has been shown time and again that there is a direct correlation between Android users will not pay for applications, and many developers are not Android applications ... who simply need a business model to reward developers while obtaining cheap or free applications in the hands of users.

Mango is also the purpose of adding cool features: to improve the tiles live (live tiles are disappointing so far, in my opinion), more company-specific functions, and perhaps even a good camera features, such as the ability to use the camera to focus on a particular area. I hope you all make the cut and work well - the competition is a good thing, and a number of journalists and a valid operating system (WebOS and WP7 at this time are not what I would call very profitable) to maintain all the news .

In addition, some outside experts doubt that the mango as the Microsoft update arrives on mobile end-users' until 2012, the new phones just to see the publication of the holidays. I strongly suspect that this is happening, because Nokia is hanging on the "future of WP7, and in particular to wait Mango activation devices - and then the second quarter of bleeding money, market share and mind share, I think I can not wait!

And honestly ... based on the use of Windows 7 phone the last two weeks, and are constantly bumping against the limits of 2012 is too late. And unless the fundamentals are very strong screening, when it happens it may become irrelevant.
