Android Smart Phone From Vodafone Is Cheap As Chips And Contract-free

Vodafone Android under its own brand new Vodafone 858 Smart is a pay as you go through to get on the train-happy application. Officially abbreviated "smart" - but not to be confused with the HTC Smart last year - is an attempt to bring the luxury of owning a phone tip for those who do not want to pay hundreds of pounds before.

For a handset with an estimated retail price of around £ 80, the function that is a mixed bag. The touch screen of 2.8 inches is a bit smaller than you might want to be when the device is a relatively small case of 2 megapixels.

Smart comes with Android 2.2. There is no mention on whether this will be updated to the latest 2.3 of the software, but you get what you expect - Android Market, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Talk, etc. The main screen also provides access to leading applications such as Facebook and Twitter.

The 3G phone is also Wi-Fi, so you can surf the Web from a wireless network at home without worrying about eating in this precious prepaid balance. There is also easy to maintain access and Bluetooth Manager of Vodafone prepaid.

The phone comes in standard black or white, with more to come. An adaptation option is also available online so you can change the color and add a picture to the back cover.

Vodafone Smart phone seems to be a pretty decent budget. If you do not mind that they attribute to a contract and have very similar usage patterns of one month to another, is likely to land a better phone when signing on the dotted line for 18 or 24 months. Arguably, being the Vodafone brand, they are as good as connected to the network until they ditch the Smart. And if they do not want or can not obtain a contract or data usage is not constant, pre-payment may be the way forward.

Vodafone said that the Smart will be available this summer in a series of "pay as exceptional data plans." This is far as we know it today, but we will not fail to get their hands on some. Watch the video to get a quick overview of the unit.
